Monthly Meeting: Milton and the Temperance Movement

September 21, 7:30 p.m.

One of our MHS local historians, John McDonald will be our Guest Speaker this month. This colourful PowerPoint presentation will look at the impact of Prohibition and the Temperance Movement in Milton and the surrounding area. The conflict between officials and ordinary citizens during this tumultuous period will be discussed as well as how Ontario developed an exit strategy which has resulted in today’s liquor regulations.
