Wed. April 24 – Historic Lumber – Refinishing Methods

Guest Speakers: The Bousfield Family of Historic Lumber, a family owned business for over 40 yrs. They salvage and reclaim Canadian Lumber from early circa 1800 homes and barns. The lumber is stored and waiting its second live weather in a historic application or decorative feature in a home. Come discover the value and learn traditional woodworking and finishing methods.

Wed May 15 – Architectural Styles

Guest Speaker: Shannon Kyles has been teaching History of Architecture at Mohawk College for 25 yrs. She is the founder of ontarioarchitecture.com, which illustrates various styles of historic buildings found in Ontario focusing on influences and architecture details. Her approach is to popularize historic Architecture – “make people appreciate wonderful old buildings & they will be more likely to save them.”
