The Milton Historical Society is a Charitable Organization with a mandate to preserve the heritage of the Town of Milton.
We welcome new members.
Perhaps you like to take pictures
or talk to people about their past. Or perhaps you want to do
research on heritage homes or pioneer families, write about
our past, prepare slide shows or talk to groups. Perhaps you
like to meet with friends who share your interest in Milton's

with printing capabilities. More news to follow once set-up is
complete and unit operational.
Tours:
The Milton Historical Society
encourages groups to arrange a tour of our facility, “The
Waldie Blacksmith Shop”. Learn about Milton's heritage and
the workings of a Blacksmith. Call to arrange an appointment.

Victoria Park comes to light in time for Remembrance Day 2009. What
do you think you know about this World War One piece of artillery? Where did
it come from, who captured it ... is it Canadian, British, French or German?

Did you know?
The Milton Historical Society was in operation as far back as
1930 under the care of Secretary R. M. Clements, as reported by
Brenda Whitlock in the September 1989 issue of The
Journal. Read more in the Journal Archives. All meetings
are on the 3rd Thursday at 8 pm in the Carriage Shop
Room, Waldie Blacksmith Shop, 16 James Street - Milton, unless
otherwise noted. Meetings are suspended in July and August.

with John McDonald. Knox Presbyterian Church, 12 Noon Monday
November 30, 2009. $12 for limited tickets with all proceeds to
the Knox Church Restoration Project.
