Today’s #TakeMeBackMilton is a photo of Maureen Dinsmore sitting in a tree which was shaped decades ago. This old tree was beside Highway 25 north of Milton in the Speyside area near St. Helena Road. It is said that this old Elm tree was shaped by natives as a trail marker with a unique crook and it appeared in “Ripley’s Believe it or Not”. The tree was still in place in the fall of 1967, do you remember it?
