This was originally the home of George Brown, Milton's first
mayor. It was built in 1842 on Main Street and about 1870 was
moved to it's present site on James Street by James A. Waldie. The
family operated the Waldie
Blacksmith Shop on the lot, which was renovated by the Milton
Historical Society. |
The Milton Station of the Canadian National Railway was
originally situated on the east side of Bronte, south of the P.L.
Robertston office. The building has been relocated to north
Milton, just off the 401 (At Martin and Steeles) and is now the
Tourist Information Building. |
