previous issues of Milton's
Time Capsules, which primarily report on the men and women of
Milton, Ontario who served in the Great War. These are the work of our
own MHS master researcher, Jim Dills. Paper copies of the Time
Capsules are located in the MHS Archives at 13 James Street, Milton
(above Waldie's Blacksmith Shoppe).
These items are the version published in the
current Milton Canadian Champion, which state as follows:

Milton Historical Society by Jim Dills. The time capsules are
gems of information extracted from past issues of the Champion
and other publications, in order to provide a window into
Milton's past. For additional details please see: http:miltonhistoricalsociety.ca |

There is some interesting information in these letters and
reports. For example, from Collection 1, I was not aware of the one
cent war tax stamp reported in this example for April 1915.
Collection 2 has been added for May 2011 to August
2011. There are a number of stories about Milton's Commemorative Gold
Watches!
I will continue to add new issues as they
appear in the Milton Champion. Unfortunately (as of Collection 3)
they stopped publishing them on the right side of the page beside the
date. |
