| The Milton
Historical Society was founded in 1977. Our first goal was
preservation of the County Court House and Jail, which had
been abandoned after being so much a part of the community
for well over a century. The Town later acquired the
property for $1 and had the building magnificently restored.
Since its initial project our Society has
carried out many other activities described more fully in
web pages on this site. |
The society is now involved in a number of
activities that are focused on "keeping the history
alive".
