The Milton Historical Society is constituted as a Charitable Organization and is authorized to issue income tax receipts for donations.  You will find a list of those that have contributed to the MHS on the Sponsor Page.

Milton Historical Society Goals:

To provide a friendly forum for those people interested in the Milton community.
To search out Milton's heritage and make it known to the community.
To recognize those who have helped preserve our heritage.
To co-operate with other heritage organizations and Town Council on heritage projects and concerns.
To stimulate public interest in our historic people and places.
To encourage and assist educational heritage programs.

Events and Publications:

The body of this web site contains the major components of EVENTS and RESEARCH which are the two main categories used to describe the results achieved by the MHS.  In the EVENTS you will find details on the past and present programs, including education and the archives, plus others.  Moving on to the PUBLICATIONS you will find information about the archives, published books, newsletters and web based projects.

Links:

In the final section of the web site we are providing a number of links to other Halton based historical resources, many of the Ontario Community historical societies, links for those that are doing genealogical research, and finally links for those researching military history.  We welcome suggestions for other links and encourage all of our sister organizations to share in our "Linking Project".
